The Pet Chalet does not accept toys, bedding, blankets or personal items from home (except in the Executive Suites) as we provide all these items. Neutral-smelling bedding reduces the chance of possessive behaviour. You are welcome to bring coats for dogs in winter — please clearly mark them with your pet's name and surname.
Yes, absolutely. If it gives you peace of mind, please call us anytime during opening hours. We will always contact you or an alternate person if there is ever a concern.
Yes. Stays of 6 days or more include a complimentary Hydrobath, Blowdry & Coat Condition. For shorter stays a paid Hydrobath is available — please book at check in. If your pick up date changes, please give us 24 hours notice as bathed dogs are not permitted back out to play.
Easter & Christmas book out for dogs 8–10 months in advance, and for cats around 3 months in advance. Other school holiday periods often book out 1 month ahead. Outside peak periods, bookings can be made on the day of arrival during business hours.
A $200 deposit per pet is required for peak period bookings (Easter, June/July, September/October & December/January). Payment can be made by Visa, Mastercard, cash, EFTPOS or direct deposit. Peak period dates are listed on our Rates page.
All dogs receive at least two exercise sessions per day in our grassed yards as part of their daily rate. Additional one-on-one playtime with a staff member is also available once or twice daily for a small fee — just ask at reception.
Yes. We aim to make every guest's visit comfortable and enjoyable. Some pets settle in quickly, others take a little longer — but with our caring team helping them relax, most pets genuinely enjoy the experience.
Generally no. We feed Super Premium Royal Canin which most dogs and cats love. If your pet is on a vet-prescribed special diet, please bring that food. Additional charges may apply for extra preparation time required for special diets.
Yes, completely normal. Just like us on holidays, a change of environment, extra activity or a healthy diet can affect weight. A moderate change is nothing to be concerned about.
No. Our opening hours exist to provide a calm environment for all our guests. Arrivals and departures outside hours disturb settled animals. Please plan ahead to allow for traffic. If you are running late and won't make it — please call us immediately.
Please phone us as soon as possible. Extensions are rarely a problem except during Easter and Christmas. Any additional days can be paid on pick up.
For cats, no problem. For dogs, please give us at least 24 hours notice as they often need a hydrobath before departure. Please note that payment for all booked peak period dates is required regardless of early pick up.
We will always contact you first for non-urgent situations. For emergencies, we contact your vet immediately. All veterinary costs and transport are the responsibility of the pet owner and must be paid prior to check out.
